We are a small, but friendly mountaineering club based in the East Midlands.  Our interests are mainly climbing, caving, trekking, hill, fell and mountain walking, skiing and biking... and just about every aspect of mountaineering or outdoor sports that you could imagine really!

We have members from a vast array of different backgrounds, representing a huge wealth of knowledge and experience as a club, not only in caving and mountaineering, but sailing, canoeing and many other outdoor sports as well.  We welcome new members of all abilities, from complete novice to experts with years of experience, and don't worry if you don't live in Leicester, or even Leicestershire, NLMC members have spread all over England and Wales!

New Server; The club website is now running on a new server, this will allow us much more space for photo galleries which will work at much higher speeds, the galleries are currently being updated and will be available shortly.  A secure members area will also be available soon with individual log in details and a club email address for each full member!  As soon as these new features become available all members with receive a personalised email with there login details for the new facilities.

Suilven Meet; Check out the Meets and Events page for further details of this trip Adrian is planning to Scotland for this May Day Bank Holiday long weekend.  Adrian would like to know numbers for the bothy arrangements and shared transport, there are already over 10 going so be sure to secure your place if you are interested!

March Meet; Keep this in mind although it is looking like this will have to be taking place on the following weekend from that currently stated on the meets page, sorry to those who this inconveniences!

Arco; There is an ever increasing crowd heading out to Arco this summer, please let me know if your going as we may be able to arrange a group booking on the campsite that doesn't normally take bookings from individuals.

Urgent information for anyone who has booked ferry crossings for Arco this summer with Speed Ferries; unfortunately speed ferries went out of business earlier this week, so if you have booked a crossing with them you will need to check the situation regarding your booking and possibly make alternative plans.
